AI Music to MIDI Converter

Extract editable note ideas from Suno, Udio and other generated tracks. The conversion stays local, while the rights to use the source still depend on its platform terms.

Download the highest-quality source your generator provides and separate a melody, bass or instrument stem before converting a dense arrangement.

6.5-second synthetic melody · a workflow demo, not an accuracy benchmark.

The selected file is {size}. MIDIFLOW does not upload it or impose a server limit, but very large files can run out of memory, especially on a phone.

Compare the original with a simple synth preview of the detected notes. The preview does not reproduce the original sound or pitch bends.

Too many or missing notes? — increase it to keep fewer, more confident notes; decrease it to include quieter notes. Then compare the previews again.

Use AI audio as a starting point for DAW work

MIDI is useful when you want to reharmonize, replace sounds or continue a generated idea. It is an interpretation of the audio, not the hidden project that produced it.

Melody reconstruction

A prominent vocal or lead line can become a draft MIDI melody for new instrumentation, editing or notation.

Bass and harmony sketches

Separated bass or accompaniment stems can provide raw material for reharmonizing the idea inside your own session.

Private local experimentation

Once you have the audio file, MIDIFLOW processes it on this device. It does not add another cloud upload to your workflow.

What can go wrong

Why generated music is difficult to transcribe

AI music outputs are usually delivered as polished, dense masters rather than isolated performances. Layered pads, doubled vocals, stereo effects and active accompaniment keep many pitch candidates present in every frame.

Generated arrangements may contain timbres that morph between instruments or produce synthetic overtones unlike a stable acoustic source. The model can split those evolving colors into extra notes even when a listener hears one part.

Audio-to-MIDI does not reveal the generator's latent composition data, prompts or original stems. It estimates notes from the final waveform, so production detail that is mixed together stays ambiguous.

Convert audio to MIDI in three steps

  1. 01

    Choose audio

Choose an MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC or OGG recording, or try the sample. Start with a short solo part to check the result.

  2. 02

    Transcribe notes

The converter estimates notes on this device. Your recording is not uploaded and no account is needed.

  3. 03

    Listen, adjust and download

Compare the original with Play MIDI notes, apply a different note threshold if needed, then save the .mid file for your music software.

Transcription is powered by Spotify's open-source Basic Pitch model and runs in your browser.

Improve accuracy

Prepare an AI-generated track for MIDI extraction

Preserve as much source detail as the platform allows, then reduce arrangement density before asking for note events.

Choose the highest-quality download

Prefer a lossless or highest-bitrate export offered by the generator. Avoid screen recordings and re-encoded social-media copies.

Use platform stems or separate them

If the service offers stems, start there. Otherwise isolate vocals, bass or accompaniment and convert one file at a time.

Check the current license

Commercial rights depend on the generator, plan and date of creation. Converting audio into MIDI does not grant new rights or remove restrictions; this is practical workflow guidance, not legal advice.

Suno to MIDI: native export or an audio file?

Check the native MIDI download first

Suno’s download documentation, checked on September 12, 2026, lists MIDI downloads for songs created in Suno Studio by Premier subscribers. Availability depends on the song, feature, plan and device. If your song has that option, it is a direct route worth checking before transcribing its audio.

Use a downloaded audio stem here

If you have a local MP3 or WAV file, MIDIFLOW can estimate its notes for free without another audio upload. Choose an isolated melody, vocal or bass stem where available. It cannot log into Suno, import a song link, separate stems or retrieve the original generation project.

Import the MIDI into your DAW

The download is a standard MIDI file containing note timing, pitch, velocity and eligible pitch-bend events. It does not contain the original instrument sound, so assign any software instrument after importing it.

Ableton Live

Create or choose a MIDI track, then drag the .mid file into an empty clip slot or the Arrangement. Load an instrument on that track and edit notes in the MIDI Note Editor.

Logic Pro

Drag the file into the Tracks area and choose a Software Instrument track. Open the Piano Roll to correct timing, note lengths or velocity before arranging.

FL Studio

Drag the file into the Channel Rack or use File › Import › MIDI file. Send the imported notes to a chosen instrument, then clean them in the Piano roll.

FAQ

Can I turn a Suno song into editable MIDI?

First check whether your Suno Studio song offers a native MIDI download; Suno currently lists this for Premier subscribers. Alternatively, select a downloaded audio file in MIDIFLOW to estimate its notes locally. An isolated instrument stem is a more suitable starting point than a complete mix.

Will MIDI conversion give me the original AI project stems?

No. The converter only analyzes the waveform you provide. It cannot recover the generator's project, prompt, synthesis settings or hidden source tracks.

Does converting AI music to MIDI change its copyright status?

No. A format conversion does not create new permission to use the underlying composition or recording. Review the current terms of the platform and your subscription.

Why do generated pads create clusters of MIDI notes?

Wide, modulated pads contain overlapping harmonics and evolving spectral peaks. A note detector can interpret those changes as several simultaneous or rapidly changing pitches.

Should I use an AI platform's MP3 or WAV download?

Choose WAV or the highest-quality option when available. It preserves the strongest source for later stem separation and transcription.

Can I continue the converted idea with a different instrument?

Yes. Import the MIDI into your DAW, assign any software instrument, then edit the notes and arrangement. Whether you may publish the result still depends on source rights.
